UNIS has revealed several games that are currently in test on location in Canada: Strike Pro Fishing, Polar Igloo and Crazy Clock. The company also announced updates to their unique redemption game, Panning For Gold. The updates include the addition of bonus wheels that reward the player for scooping up a lot of “gold” nuggets. Six months remain before the next AMOA State Association Meeting, but numerous leaders and organizers of the event are already working hard to ensure it is as informative, eventful and fun as previous years. The world’s largest pinball tournament, the Pinburgh Match-Play Championship, and the accompanying video game festival hosted by ReplayFX Arcade wrapped up this past weekend, and initial reactions show it was yet another successful year. New Jersey Senator Nicholas Scutari (D) has introduced new legislation to regulate “games of chance,” notably cranes, through his state’s Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission. The legislation is fallout from a recent TODAY show report (covered in a past Instant RePlay) that asserts too many operators unfairly set the machines to reduce winnings. The proposed bill – S2487 – would require game operators comply with new commission-determined standards establishing reasonable odds for players to win at the game.
