Incredible Technologies announced yesterday (July 24) that the latest update of its flagship golf game, Golden Tee 2018, will ship Sept. 25, 2017. Beginning that day, thousands of Golden Tee game owners will receive updates; I.T. will offer dedicated Showpiece cabinets, complete kits and Showpiece transfer cabinets (to convert old CRT models) shortly thereafter. The Week says a report by the National Bureau of Economic Research found that the number of work hours put in by men aged 21-30 between the years 2000 and 2015 declined around 12%. The report’s authors believe that about a third of that decline “is due to the increasingly immersive world” of video game playing. This year’s recipient of AAMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Firestone Financial’s David Cohen, is being further celebrated in the association’s annual, philanthropic souvenir ad journal. Proceeds will go to American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation (AAMCF), and will add to the $165,000 the association has already raised since they began publishing the journals three years ago.
