BGC owns and operates 24 casinos across the U.S., and will be hosting the golf game finals at its Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from June 8-10, 2018. The Game Works, a new arcade in Klamath Falls, is bringing retro back to Main Street in that small southern Oregon town. The Herald and News reports that owner Brian Houck previously operated an arcade in downtown Klamath Falls, and has had his vast game collection in storage since losing the lease on that property. Now, he’s back on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with a tentative grand opening planned for March. He hopes to have everything fully operational in six months. The Game Works has also partnered with food trucks during business hours to help draw crowds.

A creative soul called Vladimir van Hoek did just that, creating a full-size, working Lord of the Rings pinball machine that’s packed full of Lego characters, ramps and more. The pin even caught the attention of Stern Pinball, with the company coyly hinting on Facebook that if Lego were to ever be interested in taking the idea to the next level, Stern would be the ones to call.

Cherry Lanes is set to be Door County, Wisconsin’s first bar arcade when it re-opens as Cherry Lanes Arcade Bar in March, according to the Door County Pulse. New owners Kevin and Erin Bosman bought Cherry Lanes in early January, and closed it immediately to remodel. It’s an old bowling alley in Sturgeon Bay that first opened in 1929. Kevin’s personal collection of five pinball machines and four arcade games will go from the family barn to Cherry Lanes, with more to come. John’s Incredible Pizza Company is slated to open a 41,000-square-foot FEC at the Westminster Mall in Westminster, Calif., according to PRNewswire.com. The FEC is expected to open in March with 150 employees and the ability to accommodate over 1,000 guests. The company, founded in 1997 in Victorville, Calif., currently has 12 locations, 10 in California, and one each in Nevada and Oregon. The FECs feature all-you-can-eat buffets and more than 100 of the latest games, rides and attractions.

Disney has taken note of the growing popularity of location-based, interactive experiences that utilize new tech like projection mapping, virtual reality and augmented reality. The massive media conglomerate recently filed a patent titled “Location-Based Experience with Interactive Merchandise.” It was filed by Jonathan Ackley and other inventors at Walt Disney Imagineering. A Washington, DC pizza favorite, Pizzeria Paradiso, has added a game room to its Georgetown location, featuring Skee-Ball, Big Buck Hunter, shuffleboard, pinball and darts. This Paradiso Game Room opened Jan. 12 in the restaurant’s basement, which used to house its beer bar, Birreria Paradiso, according to The Washingtonian. It’s an intimate 1,200-square-foot space with room for up to 75 people. In addition to game play, patrons can order any of the restaurant’s menu items in the basement. Mega Blast, a laser tag facility in Indiana, is scheduled to open a second location, this in the college town of South Bend on Feb. 2, according to the South Bend Tribune. Jeremy Duncan, owner of Mega Blast in Goshen, said the place is a former grocery store, offering about 25,000 square feet.
