Fromm to Hold CRT Monitor Repair Class

If you’re an operator, engage in home game sales or are a collector, Randy Fromm says you might be interested in attending his four-day technical class to be held Sept. 16-19 at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in California.

The class assumes no previous knowledge of electronics, taking students on a step-by-step look at electronic components and component testing, soldering and CRT and LCD monitor repair.

“There will be a lot of hands-on work,” Fromm said. “Students will learn to use the digital multimeter (included with the tuition) to test components and will construct an active component tester that will be an indispensable addition to the repair shop.” Students are also encouraged to bring their own defective monitors for diagnoses and possible repair.

Fromm says this might very well be his last CRT repair class so if you’re interested in learning the ins and outs from this longtime industry tech guru, the time is now. An enrollment form for the $895 class is available at www.randyfromm.com. The instructor can be reached at [email protected].
