Dave & Buster’s Names New CEO

Brian Jenkins has been promoted to CEO of Dave & Buster’s, replacing Steve King who retired earlier this year. The change will come into effect at the end of the second quarter of this year (August 5). King will remain on the company’s board of directors, serving as chairman. (During his 12-year tenure, King led D&B’s brand switch-up, spearheading the “Eat, Drink, Play, Watch” approach to marketing the chain.)

Jenkins is currently serving as D&B’s Chief Financial Officer, a post he’s held since December 2006. Prior to joining D&B, he held various positions at Six Flags, as well as financial posts with FoxMeyer Health Corp. He holds an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and a B.S. from University of Virginia.

By the way, Bloomberg reported that D&B stock had bumped up as high as 20 percent early last week when the LBE chain announced that revenues from both food and games topped estimates.
