Two bars in Asheville, North Carolina are among the many businesses across the country requiring proof of a Covid-19 vaccine to enter. Many such rules have been instituted by private businesses (and some cities) as virus cases have spiked, largely among unvaccinated people. According to WBTW, The Double Crown and The Lazy Diamond made the announcement last week in a Facebook post that said, in part: “Due to rising Covid numbers and in an effort to keep our staff and members safe, we will be requiring proof of vaccination to participate in all activities, inside or out, at The Double…
NAC recently reported that the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has ruled in favor of certifying the class of independent ATM operators in the 10-plus years long antitrust litigation versus VISA and Mastercard. “NAC is thrilled with yesterday’s ruling by Judge Leon, certifying the class of Independent ATM Operators in NAC’s longstanding antitrust litigation versus VISA and Mastercard,” said the association’s executive director Bruce Renard. “Class certification is the most significant legal hurdle for class plaintiffs to pass in a case like this, and so yesterday’s victory is particularly important and encouraging for our nation’s ATM operators. Moreover,…

Well, not really. To compete in the Valley League’s Junior Pool Championship tournaments, competitors need to be at least 7 and no older than 20. Under the auspices of the VNEA, around 130 of these pool-wise boys and girls turned out July 22-25 for the 31st such event. Many went home afterward with trophies and gift certificates. All, parents included, had an absolute ball at the tournament’s now-traditional Bayfront Convention Center venue in Erie, Penn. Contests, as with the grander Las Vegas championships, were played in both singles and team events. Kudos for yet another well-run tourney go to Erie…
If you ever find yourself having to wage war against zombies, you might want to call upon RePlay’s Key Snodgress, marketing whiz Andre Lawless (Lawless Marketing) and Hologate’s Gregg Katano. The three ended up at a West Los Angeles location yesterday, Aug. 5, to try the Army of the Dead – Viva Las Vengeance popup VR experience based on the Netflix movie by Zach Snyder. (Snodgress and Lawless have made a habit out of hitting new VR experiences together at tradeshows and in SoCal and lucked out to find Katano there at the same time to do the same thing.)…
