Japanese-owned Round1USA, a FEC chain based in the States, is bringing in some very unique games directly from its home market in the near future. RePlay contributor Adam Pratt found that they are bringing several titles to their U.S. locations for testing or on a more permanent basis. One of them, Groove Coaster 3, is a rhythm game that was released in Japan this month. The National Dart Assn. (NDA) and Red Eye Rhino have partnered up to bring the 31st annual Team Dart tournament to YouTube. Team Dart’s soft tip dart competition runs April 22-27 at Bally’s Las Vegas. An expected 2,300 players from around the world will descend upon the gambling mecca for a multi-tiered tournament that pits similarly skilled players against each other. Starting on April 14, TouchTunes will be ramping up a new promotional campaign for alternative country artist Sturgill Simpson’s upcoming album, “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.” Simpson’s sophomore album, “Metamodern Sounds in Country Music,” was well received and widely acclaimed in 2014, ranking among the best albums of the year. The artist’s upcoming album, a self-produced commemoration of the birth of his son, features NYC’s funk/soul group The Dap-Kings. Class XVII of the AMOA-Notre Dame Management Program will meet again from April 30 to May 2 for their third session on campus in South Bend, Ind. For the second year, TouchTunes gave up-and-coming artists a chance to get noticed through friendly competition facilitated by the company’s many jukeboxes and their Breakout Band Contest.
