Hal McEvoy, interim president and CEO of IAAPA, has now officially taken over the roles. McEvoy stepped into that slot back in February, and the association said he solidified his role after an extensive global search was conducted for other viable candidates.

McEvoy joined IAAPA as CFO in April 2017, after a 42-year career with Busch Entertainment Corporation and SeaWorld Parks. He has attended expos and participated in IAAPA committees for years, and was a member of the Audit Committee since its inception in 2005.

“With each step taken, it became evident Hal was the right choice for IAAPA and its membership,” a press release stated. “His passion for the industry and his relationships with members around the globe, coupled with his collaborative leadership style, make him the ideal person for this important position.”
