Atlantic City Looks to Sports Betting and Family

A recent article in the Las Vegas Sun details Atlantic City’s latest efforts to revitalize, with America’s Playground looking to transform its scandalous image into one more amenable to families.

The troubled seaside city has been largely out of the headlines since 1990, when Donald Trump dumped $1.2 billion into the Trump Taj Mahal, only to have it collapse into bankruptcy the following year. The massive resort continued on a downward spiral until ultimately shutting down in 2016, but now, two years later, the old Taj has been stripped of any mention of Trump and is about to open as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. And, it’s not the only dormant hotel to be revitalized, either!

Developers looking to save the city are now promising a return to its once ritzy image, but this time are hoping to do so with a focus on sports betting and family-oriented fun. Whether this latest strategy will successfully revitalize the long-struggling city is hard to say. Read on for plenty more interesting info in the original article here.
