Bandai Namco is taking its VR ZONE Portal concept from the U.K. and Japan and bringing it Stateside! The company launched a new store in Washington, D.C.’s Union Station at the end of September, and players will have the chance to try the beloved Mario Kart game in VR, as well as Argyle Shift and Ski Rodeo. The VR adaptation lets players enter the Mario world as one of four popular characters and race against friends.

Steve Ignarski, national sales manager for Bandai Namco, said, “We are thrilled to be a part of the innovative, cutting-edge project that is VR ZONE Portal. The launches in Japan and the U.K. brought great success, and we hope to follow suit in Washington, D.C. Mario Kart VR is a long-awaited title and we have no doubt it will be well-received in the states, due to its incredible, immersive game-play and outstanding equipment from HTC Vive.”

The set up will be at Union Station for six months, so be sure to check it out before its gone!
