The original GameWorks location in Seattle is back open, according to Seattle Met, following the closure of all company locations at the end of 2021. Howard Brand and former GameWorks CEO Greg Stevens, with the help of former COO Des Roches, relaunched the location. Visitors will find the same familiar bunch of retro games like Pac-Man to modern-day VR like Beat Saber. The amusement park Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, is adding its 18th roller coaster for the 2023 season, reports the Akron Beacon Journal. The company announced recently that in a nod to its past, it will add a classic Wild Mouse coaster, reimagined with spinning cars, and create a new Boardwalk section in the park. The coaster will feature seven cars that spin a full 360-degrees as it navigates 1,312 feet of bright orange track. Replay Lincoln Park, the arcade bar in Chicago, has transformed into the world of Jurassic Park for its latest pop-up experience, which will run through Sept. 5. According to Block Club Chicago, the venue has been decorated with giant dinosaurs, custom-built vehicles, island foliage and other nods to the movie franchise. Specialty cocktails like Not My Gumdrops, The Laura Dern and Chaos Theory will also be available. The bar will host weekly Jurassic Park trivia nights and DJ sets from Wednesday through Saturday. Variety recently reported that actor Justin Baldoni is hoping to bring a live-action version of the classic Pac-Man to the big screen. Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios is backing the film based on the arcade game, along with Bandai Namco Entertainment. One of the oldest “active” route operators in the country, Charles (Chuck) Arnold, has died in Orlando, Fla., at the age of 96. The coin-op industry veteran was officially retired but continued his career by helping his son out on their Arnold Amusements route. After serving two years with the Coast Guard during World War II and college (which he attended via night school), he married his wife Mildred. Following several years serving in a variety of jobs, he got the coin-op bug. Chuck’s career in the coin machine business goes back at least to 1979 when he joined the…
