Coinciding with IAAPA Expo, the upcoming Betson Technical University will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld this Nov. 17-18. The Annual Auction of the Minnesota Operators of Music & Amusements, hosted online by Auction Masters, starts today, Oct. 10, and will go through Oct. 20. It’s always exciting news when a Dave & Buster’s is coming to town, and that’s what officials in Monongalia County, West Virginia, recently confirmed to residents, reports WBOY. ABS Building Systems Integrators of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, were awarded a contract to build the Dave & Buster’s location in Westover from the ground up. It may be an empty lot now, but the Westover building official Jason Stinespring estimated the project would take only about eight months to complete. It is expected to open sometime next fall.

A 45,000-sq.-ft. high-tech entertainment center called Lumos opened Oct. 2 at the Valley Ranch Town Center in New Caney, Texas, outside of Houston, KHOU reports. It transforms a former Sam’s Club into a lively entertainment hub and anchor in the mall that features a 6,000-sq.-ft. arcade, virtual reality experiences, 16 bowling lanes, axe throwing and laser tag. There’s also a full-service restaurant and bar with an outdoor sports patio as well as four event spaces for up to 170 guests.
