AAMA’s American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation (AAMCF) and AMOA Coin Op Cares announced a joint donation of $20,000 to help families affected by the devastating wildfires that swept through California this January. A Big Buck Hunter event is being held to raise money for programs supporting individuals with disabilities. “Buckers Without Borders” will be a two-day tournament starting April 25th at Plums Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The event — now in its fourth year — has already brought in $30,000 for the Partnership Resources Inc. nonprofit organization. The event will be hosted by the 7th Street Slayers, a Big Buck championship team dedicated to supporting the Saint Paul community. The FunBox chain of bounce parks recently opened its first location in Arizona, according to previous reporting by The Arizona Republic. For guests, there’s bouncing and a lot more at the venue. Attractions at the park include obstacle courses, a climbing wall, arcade games and cotton candy machines (sweet!). FunBox, headquartered in California, claims to operate the “world’s biggest bounce park.” The Mesa-based bounce park held its opening day on March 21, planting the FunBox flag in its ninth state so far.

RePlay has learned that one of coin-op’s most beloved figures, Warren Asing of 50th State Coin-Op and the Fun Factory arcade chain, has died. During his 30-some-odd years at Hawaii’s oldest, and probably only, machine distributorship, Warren (a native Hawaiian) made friends and customers not only in the islands but all over the mainland. He and company supremo Linda Fernandez, were often seen touring trade events like IAAPA where they hosted an annual party. He had just attended the Las Vegas AEI show some weeks before he died.
