Incredible Technologies announced yesterday (July 24) that the latest update of its flagship golf game, Golden Tee 2018, will ship Sept. 25, 2017. Beginning that day, thousands of Golden Tee game owners will receive updates; I.T. will offer dedicated Showpiece cabinets, complete kits and Showpiece transfer cabinets (to convert old CRT models) shortly thereafter. I.T. encourages operators to contact the company to reserve their place in line for one of the first shipments, which they say historically means a “significant increase in earnings.”
Golden Tee 2018 will continue the game’s revenue formula of consumables and customization, and will also offer time-released content throughout the year. Five new golf courses and a wide range of new features will be available at launch. In the months that follow, two more courses will be unlocked, along with game additions and course changes.
“Golden Tee operators have been asking for extended content for years,” said Don Pesceone, Amusements Division VP at I.T. “The 2018 update delivers everything players and owners have come to expect, with a full course and feature update that will appeal to players and boost earnings from the start. But we aren’t stopping there. We will be introducing more courses and content nearly every month throughout 2018, keeping players interested and excited all year long. This could be a real game-changer.”
Operators who pre-order updates for their online games will be, once again, entered into the Awesome Draw random drawing with prizes including new Showpiece games, full kits, transfer cabinets and more. These prizes will be announced Oct. 16.
