SEGA Amusements and Intercard, Inc. have announced a new collaboration on a Sega Prize Zone center in Hatfield, England. The Operations Division of Sega Amusements selected Intercard to install their iReader, Wave Eclipse, iTellers and iCashier systems to compliment the center’s 50 redemption games, cranes and video games. Sega plans to utilize the systems to their full capabilities and maximize the benefits of card-based play.
“This installation is further proof that cashless systems will continue to grow,” said Gabino Stergides of Electrocoin, Intercard’s distributor in Europe. “We are pleased to be playing a significant role in Sega’s new flagship location.”
The Operations Division of Sega Amusements has grown in recent years, developing new partnerships with shopping malls, theme parks, bowling centers and other locations. The Division operates a broad portfolio of products, ranging from 6-D motion theaters to ticket redemption and prize facilities, video games and kiddie rides.
