7th Annual Specialty Coin Showcase Scores!

0
By Casey Minter on October 24, 2016 INSTANT REPLAY

This past Saturday, Nov. 22, played host to Specialty Coin Product’s one-day, quickly-growing machine exhibition called the Northwest Amusement Showcase. The event brought a huge crowd, estimated at around 200 people, all of whom were treated to a floor full of more than 55 games brought by 35 manufacturers.

“This show is just one of the ways we strive to inform you about industry trends, new equipment, products and ideas. We’re confident you will find many of those here,” Mike McWilliams, President of Specialty Coin, told visitors.

Staged in Vancouver, Wash., the show was a good primer for many getting ready to attend that IAAPA Attractions Expo in November. It gave the crowd a first glimpse at the newest equipment, including LAI Games’ The Vault, Coastal’s new iteration of Breakout, Bay Tek’s Pop the Lock, I.T.’s Golden Tee 2017 update and more.

The event also had two seminars for attendees to enjoy, one hosted by Intercard discussing the inner workings of card systems, the other a round table where operators gathered to talk about claw crane games.

The event was free for industry members, their families and friends, and Specialty Coin execs were quick to thank their many sponsors for making that a possibility. Plenty of showcase specials, door prizes, lunch, dinner and drinks kept the crowd entertained throughout the day. The show floor opened at 11 a.m. and stayed open until 6 p.m.

Look in RePlay’s December issue for more information and pictures from the event!
