On May 14, Walter Day, an intrepid historian who has dedicated the past years to chronicling science fiction, the coin-op world and more through his trading cards, was able to spend his birthday doing more great work. He was invited to Chicago where he took the stage at the Nebula Awards Ceremony and present a framed Science Fiction Historical Trading Card to the sci-fi author C.J. Cherryh. Cherryh has written many novels, including the widely known Foreigner series.
Day spoke in front of 300 of the country’s finest sci-fi and fantasy authors, and it’s fair to say he spent his birthday doing what he loves!
