Downtown Champaign, Ill., has a new arcade bar as of Feb. 15, when Stix Arcade Bar hosted its grand opening of the venue. According to Smile Politely, it’s the brainchild of friends Justin Taylor and Wayne Green. Taylor is the proprietor of a nearby restaurant-brewery and Green is a retro video game collector.
The arcade side of the biz will have about 15 original cabinet games, three pinball machines, and four gaming consoles on 65” televisions. A full bar, live DJs and other entertainment will also be on hand. The business replaces a wine bar that had previously occupied the location. Learn more at www.facebook.com/stixcu.
