For those who like to plan ahead, the 2017 DEAL expo will take place March 27-29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the UAE (United Arab Emirates). Calling itself the number one event for the entertainment and leisure industry in the Middle East and Africa, a big emphasis at this show will focus on amusement franchising and licensing . . . Speaking of amusement parks, a recent edition of “This Week” magazine carried an item of interest to people suffering from kidney stones. It says a spin or two (especially in a back seat) on a rough-riding roller coaster can sometimes dislodge and pass a stone. Wonder if Blue Cross will pick up the cost of the ticket?
