Iowa Amusement Star Jenny Duede Passes

RePlay recently learned of the passing of former Iowa Operators of Music and Amusements (IOMA) Executive Director Jenny Duede. She was a common and welcome sight at many AMOA State Council meetings and is already missed by many in the industry she positively influenced. She passed away at age 68 on Sept. 18 at the University Hospital in Iowa City. A visitation was held on Saturday, Sept. 22, followed by a prayer service.

Jenny Duede spent her life in Iowa, attending high school in Guthrie Center before starting a short career as a beautician. She spent time working for the Iowa Bowling Proprietors Assn. (IBPA) and the IOMA, and before long, was the executive director of both associations. She is survived by her husband, Jim, who spent 48 years with her. May she rest in peace.
