While the parks association is moving forward with IAAPA Expo this fall in Orlando, it won’t be giving out all of its coveted Brass Ring Awards. They’ve been postponed to 2021 with an eligibility period from September 2019 to August 2021.

Alluding to the COVID-19 pandemic, IAAPA wrote: “We understand members like you have had to push or postpone capital investment projects, new ride openings, and marketing campaigns this year, and for this reason, the Excellence Awards for Games and Merchandise; Family Entertainment Center (FEC); Human Resources; Marketing; Food and Beverage; and Live Entertainment have all been postponed.”

The association will still highlight excellence from the trade show floor, for Best New Product and Best Exhibit.

In other IAAPA news, deadline for other 2020 awards are coming up. Nominations for the IAAPA Hall of Fame Awards and Young Professional of the Year Award are due July 13, and the deadline for IAAPA Service Awards submissions is July 31.
