Beginning this Friday, May 22, beaches, boardwalks, lakes and lakeshores can open with social distancing measures in place, according to Gov. Phil Murphy’s recently announced executive order. A devoted dad built a full-size retro arcade machine for his 3-year-old son to play during lockdown, reported Good News Network. Wisconsin’s Supreme Court overturned that state’s “Safer at Home” mandate, saying all future anti-virus restrictions must be approved by their legislature’s rule-making committee. According to NPR, the Tavern League of Wisconsin, the association of bar owners, told its members they could reopen their doors immediately. A 150-game arcade in Brunswick, Ga., is planning for its return sometime in June or July, according to the owner, Kelley Daniel, who says he and his staff are giving the space a facelift and are busy sanitizing the 100 pinball machines and other arcade games. When it reopens, it’ll have new carpeting, a new A/C system and a fresh coat of paint, according to The Brunswick News. Presented during IAAPA Expo 2020 in Orlando, Fla., the honors celebrate attractions professionals from around the world who have made significant contributions to the industry.
