PopStroke, the mini-golf entertainment complex co-owned by golf legend Tiger Woods, is building a location in Nashville at the Century Farms development near Tanger Outlets and several other high profile projects. The venue will reportedly feature three different 18-hole mini-golf courses, multiple bar areas and a restaurant. “I’m thrilled to see PopStroke expanding into Nashville,” Woods said in a news release. A celebration of life will be held for Hawaii coin-op veteran Warren Asing from 6-10 p.m. on May 27 at the Outrigger Canoe Club in Honolulu. Anyone who knew and loved Warren is welcome. Asing passed away in April. As we reported then, during his 30-some-odd years at Hawaii’s oldest, and probably only, machine distributorship, Warren (a native Hawaiian) made friends and customers not only in the islands but all over the mainland. The Keller City Council in the Dallas, Texas-area town has approved plans for a Back Nine Golf facility at 721 Keller Pkwy., Ste. 111. Community Impact reports that the indoor golf simulator company allows golfers to work on their game while playing simulations of real-life courses. The facilities are open 24/7 and offer individual and corporate memberships. No word yet on when the Keller location will open. The company has locations all over the country. Pace-O-Matic recently presented their first-ever Integrity Award to Larry Hilimire, an amusement industry legend and the owner of Staunton Automatics in New York. Hilimire received the award at the Amusement and Music Operators Association of New York (AMOA-NY) annual gala in Manhattan on April 28. The 8,000-sq.-ft. GEMU Clawcade and Playground opened last month at the Oakland Mall in Troy, Mich. Hooky, a new entertainment center in Hutto, Texas, just outside of Austin, is scheduled to open on May 23, according to CultureMap Austin. The center will have 12 bowling lanes, a 5,500-sq.-ft. interactive arcade, eight movie screening rooms, including an IMAX theater, digital darts, two private event spaces and food and beverage, too. “Hopefully we get to change the meaning of hooky a little bit, too,” said Charlie Tiantawach, the president and CEO. “To mean more of a social connection place.
