EAG Expo reports that it has linked up with Sega Amusements International to deliver a “hands-on practical introduction to arcade technology and PC anatomy, including basic diagnostics and preventative maintenance. “The free to attend Tech Seminar, which was the brainchild of the late Paul Williams who sadly passed in October 2025 after a short illness, is aimed at entry level and intermediate technicians working in the industry,” EAG Expo organizers wrote. K1 Speed’s California State Championship will take place Jan. 31-Feb. 1. Scheduled to run at K1 Speed Irvine, the event will feature drivers from all 15 California K1 Speed locations. The newest Cinergy Entertainment Center in Midland, Texas, dubbed “Tall City,” has Intercard technology at the center. It’s the ninth Cinergy location to use Intercard’s tech and the second in Midland. Intercard’s Shannon Sullivan and Tyler Henson handled the installation, the company wrote. The location offers 98,000 sq. ft. of 11 lanes of upscale bowling, four immersive escape rooms, an 80-game arcade, six luxury movie auditoriums and a full-service bar and dining options. David Rosen, a New York City native who was one of the original founders of Sega Games in post-war Japan, died Thursday, Dec. 25, at his home in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles. According to his spokesman Brad Callaway, he was surrounded by family members when he passed peacefully. Rosen, along with Marty Bromley, Ray Lamaire, Dick Dodderer and several other American expatriates, started the company as an amusement operation called Service Games (i.e. Sega), eventually turning it into a leading manufacturer with the production of such early arcade pieces as Periscope and Monaco GP. Waterville Valley Resort, located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, recently got a brand-new arcade from the regional sales representative Joe Kirby and the entire team at Betson Enterprises. PowerKart Raceway in Canberra, Australia, and Fun Area Allgäu in Scheidegg, Germany, are two of the latest new companies to get Laserforce products. The company reported that they installed 30 Gen8 Infinity Battlesuits at PowerKart, a destination that already had go-karts, mini-golf, VR and arcade gaming. The amusement park Fun Area Allgäu now features Pixel Games and expanded their laser tag area. They also have climbing walls, mini-golf and a full-service restaurant and beach bar.
