Amusement Products recently shared early performance results for Party Dash, the new mixed reality attraction they distribute for VEX Solutions. The attraction was installed last month at Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. A 24/7 golf simulator club called Swing 365 recently opened up a second location in Oklahoma City. The local owner, Tommy Loeffler, reported that they’ve had a total of 300 unique members join. The memberships on offer are month to month, so members are free to hop in and out, assuming there’s availability. “We have members of all skill levels,” Loeffler explained. “Some members are practicing for amateur tournaments – some are true golf beginners. The Funny Bone Comedy Club in Virginia Beach recently reopened in Pembroke Square. It was formerly in the nearby Town Center, which closed Nov. 30. Slated to open Jan. 22 alongside the new club is the arcade bar DraftCade. The Virginian-Pilot reports that the venue will have 48 rotating beer taps, including a mix of local craft and national brands. A 49,000-sq.-ft. Round1 Bowling & Arcade is coming to Wheaton Mall in Maryland, reported The Mocoshow, a local radio program. It’ll be Round1’s second Maryland location; they opened in Towson Town Center in December 2019. The Entertainment and Education Group (TEEG) has announced their group chief product officer Chris McGrath retired after 39 years with their Timezone brand. The company said he played a key role in evolving Timezone “from beloved arcade classics to a diverse mix of innovative attractions that bring together families, friends and colleagues, helping to build communities united by a shared passion for fun and entertainment.” McGrath started in a technical role in Australia and later relocated to Asia to lead game R&D for the group.
