Sega Amusements has announced their longtime leader Paul Williams died on Oct. 14 following a period of illness. He had recently resigned his position as CEO and executive chairman of the company. “A globally known and highly respected figure in the amusement industry, he was the driving force behind the company he led for more than two decades,” Sega wrote. “Paul started his career working in nightclubs in his hometown of Cardiff and progressed through the ranks of First Leisure to a senior level. New venues continue to pop up all around the country for Altitude Trampoline Park, which recently announced locations coming in Q3 and new franchise agreements that’ll add even more stores soon. This quarter the company is opening new parks in Cary, North Carolina, and Milpitas, California. The North Carolina location is led by first-time franchise owner and former NBA player Montrezl Harrell. The California location is being developed by a multi-unit owner in the state. Rilix will attend the Social Immersive Entertainment Expo for the first time next year. BuckFest 2025, featuring the Big Buck World Championship XVIII, was held in Nashville at Marathon Music Works from Oct. 10-11. With a prize pool of $125,000, there were a lot of big winners at the event, including Jordan Classen, the Saskatchewan resident who took home the coveted Pappy’s Jug, a gun trophy and $25,000. Classen is an avid player, having won the Rookie of the Year in 2022 and taking third place in 2024.
