Golden Tee 17 Ships; Nearly 10,000 Cabinets Already Updated

Golden Tee 2017, the latest software update for the Golden Tee LIVE platform, began shipping on Sept. 26 to machine operators across the U.S. and Canada. I.T. says operators were quick to install the updates into their locations: In less than 3 weeks, over 10,000 cabinets have been updated, with more coming online every day.

The new software offers five new hi-definition golf courses, as well as a wide variety of offline, online and prize game formats. I.T. says new features like Closest to the Pin Online (a shorter game ideal for quick foursomes) and “Freaky Fridays” (offering unique mixed-course challenges each week) are sure to keep players interested throughout the year. In addition, players can now set up their own private contests on the GT Caddy app, and play against their friends on online machines.

Golden Tee 2017 also provides more options for player customization than ever before. “We have tripled the number of new clothing items this year,” said Don Pesceone, VP of Amusements at I.T. “These achievements will be released in groups throughout the year to let players win more awards longer than ever.” In addition to customized golfers, players can add colors and effects to their balls, and use crazy putters like a flamingo or hockey stick.

“Giving players the ability to look and feel unique adds a sense of exclusivity and ownership that keep them engaged and playing”, said Pesceone. “We expect this small aspect of the game to have a big impact on player habits.”

I.T. once again offered a chance for machine owners to enter AwesomeDraw, a drawing that awards more than $10,000 in prizes. Operators were automatically entered if they pre-ordered updates for all of their online games. “We appreciate the confidence operators show in IT and Golden Tee each year,” said Pesceone. “AwesomeDraw is a way to give back to our loyal customers.”

AwesomeDraw prizes ranged from gift cards and t-shirts to full kits and showpiece games. Additional information on Golden Tee 2017 and the entire Incredible Technologies product line can be found here.
