AMI Teams With NHTSA to Fight Drunk Driving

Halloween is a scary time for plenty of reasons, but one thing we all hope to avoid is drunk driving. In preparation for the oftentimes booze-filled holiday, AMI has partnered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to help get bar patrons home safely and responsibly.

Beginning on Oct. 27 and running through Halloween night, AMI jukes from coast to coast will be promoting the “Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving” campaign. The interactive program will give customers the chance to take an “impaired driving IQ quiz” that can win them free music and provide them necessary information for getting home safe, like cabs numbers and more.

“Drinking and driving can turn a fun Halloween celebration into a living nightmare,” said NHTSA admin Dr. Mark Rosekind. “With the help of AMI Entertainment Network, we’re getting the word out to the public to plan a safe ride home and put the keys away. Call a sober friend, hail a taxi or take public transit, but never drive drunk.”
