Pinheads Prepare to Plunge Into Chicago for 32nd Pinball Expo

By Casey Minter on July 25, 2016 INSTANT REPLAY

The 32nd Annual Pinball Expo is in the works for October 12-16 in pin city itself, Chicago. The event will play host to a variety of pinball-related fun, including 150 games on free play, a new surprise from Stern Pinball that is promised to be spectacular, a vendor hall with over 40 different vendors selling everything from parts and books to mods and machines, seminars, banquets, tournaments and 25 unique machines to play from a local collector.

Attendees will also have the chance to tour the new, 110,000 square foot Stern Pinball Factory and meet the founder of the company, Gary Stern. Autograph sessions with past and present pinball players will be held as well.

A two-player team tournie will be held on Friday – click here for complete details and to register.

A wide variety of presenters will hold four days worth of educational seminars on all things pinball as well.

Those interested in buying their own machine, or those interested in selling one, will find a wide array of options at the Expo, many of which can be seen and posted here.  Those who live close can also bring in boards or pins for repair during the Expo – contact Rob Anthony at 314/766-4587 for more info on that.

There will also be incredibly unique custom pinballs open to play during the Expo, many of which with the designers themselves standing by to walk you through the process of how they created the table. Multimorphic will be in attendance to showcase their P-ROC-based custom machines.
The Expo has blocks of rooms at the Westin Chicago North Shore available at a discounted rate for those who reserve early, and organizers expect to sell the hotel out. Click here to make reservations.
Visit www.pinballexpo.net/ for more details, and mark your calendars for another great event, the Ohio Pinball Show, which is held next March.
