While some street operations might twiddle their thumbs during a soft summer, Pioneer Vending (Cincy) and Shaffer Entertainment (Columbus) were b-b-b-busy running their 4-day multi-state Summer Showdown dart tournament. Around 1,400 players reportedly turned out at the Lawrenceburg (Indiana) Event Center to vie for over $54,000 in prizes.
Andy Shaffer said the number of competitors was about 20% higher than came to last year’s Showdown, and he fully expects that to increase once again next season. Andy, and Pioneer’s Luke Wilson, want to publicly thank Arachnid and TouchTunes for contributing to the event.
