Round1 Coming to Nebraska

The Japanese-owned Round1 Bowling & Amusement is putting down more U.S. roots at Gateway Mall in Lincoln, Neb., opening a place there sometime in spring 2019, according to the Lincoln Journal Star. The 50,000-square-foot FEC will offer bowling, arcade games and pool tables in addition to a restaurant and bar. The company, which has its U.S. operations based in California, is quickly growing with new locations all across the country.

It has about 20 centers open with plans for nearly 20 more in the works. Among other “coming soon” locations: Tucson, Ariz.; Salinas, Calif.; Louisville, Ky.; Holyoke, Mass.; Reno, Nev. and Las Vegas; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Erie, Pa. Gateway Mall will relocate eight tenants to make way for the new Round1, the company’s first location in the state. Demolition of the spaces and construction of the new FEC will begin within the month.
