Ronda Wiggers Retires from MCMOA; Sheridan Hoyer New Exec at Montana Association

The Montana Coin Machine Operators Association (MCMOA) met Aug. 19-20 in Great Falls, Montana, for their annual summer meeting. The association reported that many current and former route operators joined to celebrate the retirement of their long-serving executive director, Ronda Wiggers.

“She’s been with the MCMOA since 1999 and we are extremely grateful for her many years of support,” said the new executive director, Sheridan Hoyer. “While we’re sad to see her go, we’re wishing her the best in her retirement!”

From left are Scott John (AMOA’s first vice president), Trevor Foster (MCMOA’s president), Ronda Wiggers (outgoing MCMOA executive director) and Sheridan Hoyer (incoming MCMOA executive director).

Hoyer has been working with Wiggers since the beginning of the year, learning more about the industry, connecting with members and working on proposed legislation. She has previous lobbying experience with the Montana Chamber of Commerce.

MCMOA convened for a board meeting on Wednesday morning, just after the quarterly meeting of the Montana Gambling Advisory Council. They also enjoyed an afternoon of golf in nearby Black Eagle and a dinner at Bar-S Louge & Supper Club.

The membership meeting was held the next morning with a full agenda, beginning with a national update from Scott John, AMOA’s first vice president. A keynote address from Matthew Holt of Gambling Compliance International followed. He discussed their work in Montana – and worldwide – on tracking illegal online gambling.

Additional coverage will be in our October issue.
