Pioneer Buys Midwest Amusement Company

Pioneer Vending announced last week that it has acquired Midwest Amusement Company, becoming the largest route operator in the Midwest, providing service to over 1,000 locations.

Pioneer entered the Michigan market in 2012 with the purchase of Adrian, Mich. based operator Coin Op Services. Since then, the company has continued to grow throughout Northern Ohio, Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.

“This acquisition was an ideal fit into our long-term growth strategy, and opens up many new growth possibilities in the Southern and Central Michigan,” said Luke Adams, General Manager of Pioneer.

“I couldn’t ask for more closely aligned team members than Midwest Amusement to help Pioneer’s growth and deliver increased value to our customers,” said Adams. “With the additional staff in Michigan we have positioned Pioneer Vending for additional expansion into the Michigan market.”

As part of the acquisition, several vital members of Midwest will join the Pioneer team. As an added bonus, the acquisition makes it so Pioneer is now operating more TouchTunes jukeboxes than any other operator in the U.S., according to Adams.
