Golden Tee 2018’s Update Schedule

0
By Casey Minter on March 21, 2018 INSTANT REPLAY

Incredible Technologies’ Golden Tee 2018 has a whole slew of slated updates waiting in the wings. The game was released last October and since then, I.T. has continually put out updates. This content cavalcade began Nov. 1 with new ball and club sets, a new spin type and updates to the game’s Closest to the Pin and Money Shot modes.

“We’re committed to keeping players interested in Golden Tee throughout the year,” said Don Pesceone, VP of Amusements and head of the G.T. team. “Delivering new features and surprises at key points throughout the year is engaging players longer than ever, which in turn benefits operators with a strong cashbox.”

A new 18-hole map came toward the end of 2017, with another dropping earlier this month. A big map change is coming April 2, giving new tee positions to the original five Golden Tee courses. A third wave of updates is slated for June, while I.T. is adding more variety to its Daily Contests for the remainder of this month. Finally, the company has kicked off its player search for the Golden Tee World Championships (June 8-10) and will update games to promote that.

“This is a bold new experiment,” said Pesceone. “After six months playing the courses, we’re resetting the bar. Players will have to re-learn the courses and master new shots and strategies. If this proves popular, we could be in for a nice bump in earnings on par with the initial update release.”
