Face Mask Vending Machines Hit the Streets in Poland

Vending machines selling face masks, gloves and hand sanitizers were deployed in Poland beginning last week, according to Reuters. Located in the country’s two biggest cities – Warsaw and Krakow – there are at least seven specialized vending machines that were installed recently.

The Polish Vending Assn., which launched the personal protective equipment initiative, said there are plans to install several dozen or maybe even several hundred more in the next two weeks.

“What happened just now is a massive blow to everyone,” said Polish Vending Assn. leader Aleksander Wasik. “Many vending machine operators became depressed because they were already seeing the possibility of bankruptcies.”
