Bay Tek Acquires Bay Area Branding Firm

By Casey Minter on January 5, 2018 INSTANT REPLAY

Bay Tek Games recently announced the acquisition of a Bay Area-based licensing and branding firm called Dimensional Branding Group (DBG). Bay Tek toppers look at the acquisition as a way to develop beyond solely designing and manufacturing amusement games, and move more toward a “multi-platform entertainment company.

“With DBG now in house, we will be able to greatly expand their customer base and servicing capabilities,” said Larry Treankler, Bay Tek’s chairman. “In addition, the expertise of the DBG team will be of tremendous value as we create new brands, products and content and extend our company’s reach to a broader range of markets and users. It’s a 1 + 1 = 3 partnership that makes total sense.”

DBG is a company with extensive experience within the toy, publishing and game industries. The company was formed in 2000 and has achieved growth and recognition in both domestic and foreign licensing markets. Some of the firm’s past and current clients include: Skee-Ball (now a Bay Tek license), Whac-A-Mole, Jenga, Sony PlayStation, Temple Run, Angry Birds and more.

“We could not be more excited to be integrated into the outstanding team that is developing Bay Tek’s new IP for future games, its ambitious long term marketing and licensing strategic vision, and continuing to build upon its flagship brand, Skee-Ball,” said Larry Seidman, CEO, Dimensional Branding Group.
