Shaffer Entertainment and Pioneer Vending held their eighth Summer Showdown Dart Tournament from June 1-4 at the Wyndham Event Center & Hotel in Indianapolis.
They had a record-breaking 750-plus players and paid out more than $86,000 in prizes. Players like Ben Zeitz, Jerry Porter and Deanna DeRosier excitedly shared positive thoughts about the event.
“I’d say Showdown is one of the best dart events in the nation,” Zeitz said. “It has become a huge event and draws people from surrounding states in all directions.” Added Porter: “It’s the best tournament in the state of Indiana.” DeRosier went a step further, noting, “It’s the best tournament in the Midwest, hands down. Payouts are amazing, the tournament ran efficiently – always a great time. My personal favorite weekend of the year!”
