Members of AMOA’s State Association Committee met Monday afternoon to discuss the most relevant issues state leadership is dealing with across the country.

AMOA leaders from throughout the country were hard at work Friday, Sept. 16 through Monday September, 19 during this year’s Mid-Year Board meeting in Asheville, N.C. The gathering, held at the Biltmore DoubleTree, brings together active AMOA members to discuss the most relevant issues concerning the industry today and to decide the direction of the association in the coming year.

The AMOA’s State Association Committee met on Monday, Sept. 19 to discuss involvement (and lack thereof) in states across the nation, as well as the coming State Council Meeting that will be held Jan. 26-28, 2017, at the InterContinental Tampa Hotel in Florida. The Committee is putting together an informative program that will focus on lobbying successes currently being utilized by states, hot issues in the industry and how to maximize member value and engagement in your state. Attendees will also hear the story of Wisconsin’s recent successes in eliminating double taxation on music and the many challenges members in the state overcame to achieve that.

AMOA has announced that they’ve secured a room rate of $179 a night for those interested in attending the state meeting. To register and reserve rooms, log onto your AMOA profile through the association’s website or contact Katie Voyles at [email protected].
