AAMA Fete Slated for Early October

The annual AAMA Meeting and Gala brings the industry’s bests together for several days of seminars, direction-deciding meetings, networking and an early peek at some of the products game makers will exhibit at IAAPA the following month. This year’s Gala runs Oct. 2-6 at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel in Northbrook, Ill.; sponsorship and attendee registration is now open.

AAMA is changing some things up this year, offering “a little extra spice” to the Gala’s welcome dinner with mentalist, speaker and trainer Bill Gladwell. Gladwell practices the art of reading and influencing people, and his show is said to be mesmerizing (he even wowed attendees at the F2FEC conference in the Atlanta area earlier this year.)

The event’s government relations luncheon will be headed by a recent addition to AAMA’s legislative team: David M. Bennett of Pretzel & Stouffer. AAMA says Bennett is highly versed in representing clients within the amusement and leisure industries and has worked closely with the Bowling Proprietors Assn. of America and the Roller Skating Assn. He is also a frequent speaker at IAAPA events, and was integral to crafting the AAMA’s recent Fair Play Pledge.

Finally, the Gala’s keynote speaker is CEC Entertainment’s (Chuck E. Cheese’s) Senior VP of Strategic Initiatives Mahesh Sadarangani. He will share secrets to his successful track record of driving business results in multiple industries and diverse environments.

Interested sponsors can register for the Gala here, while AAMA members can register to attend here. Rooms at the host hotel are currently $149 per night, and can also be found here.
